The Orrling atelier

Custom Design

A personal idea. An Orrling creation.

A shape you have imagined. A stone you are drawn to. A moment you want to remember. Bring your idea to our studio in Helsingborg and explore a piece of jewellery made around you.

The process

How it works

From the first conversation to the final detail.

  1. Define your vision

Share the piece you have in mind, your inspiration and your budget. We begin with a conversation about what makes it personal.

  2. Consider every detail

Together, we explore metals, stones and proportions. We discuss a proposal, the price and the work involved before moving ahead.

  3. See the design take shape

Drawing and, where appropriate, CAD help you visualise the piece. We refine its form and details together before making begins.

  4. Bring it to life

With the design agreed, skilled artisans bring the piece into being. Each technique is chosen to suit its materials and construction.

  5. Refine the finish

Setting, polishing and a final review bring the elements together. Attention turns to the details that give the jewel its character.

  6. Make it yours

Your finished piece is prepared for handover or delivery. We guide you on its care as it becomes part of your own story.

Your idea, in focus

A sketch gives an idea its first form. Digital modelling can then reveal proportions, settings and construction in greater detail. CAD — Computer-Aided Design — helps us explore and refine a piece before it is made.

A few things to know

What can I design?

Tell us about the ring, necklace, bracelet or earrings you have in mind. We discuss what is possible for the particular design.

How is the price decided?

Materials, gemstones and the complexity of the design affect the price. Share your budget so we can discuss a suitable proposal.

How long does it take?

Timing depends on the design, materials and work involved. We discuss an estimated schedule with you before production. Please mention any important date in your enquiry.

Can I use my own gold or stones?

Contact the studio with details of your existing jewellery. We assess the materials and discuss whether they can be used in your design.

What is CAD?

Computer-Aided Design creates a digital model of a jewel. It helps us explore its proportions and construction before making it.

Are there design limitations?

The form, materials and setting need to work together. We guide you on construction, comfort and suitability as your idea develops.

What should I know before ordering?

We discuss the design, price, schedule and any terms that apply to your piece before you place an order. Please ask us about alterations or existing jewellery when you enquire.
